Continue
down the trail to our new boardwalk where you may encounter the
golden orb spider and will have the opportunity to view red, white
and black mangroves. Try to spot the sailfin mollies from the boardwalk
bridge, then walk on to the 100 year-old Bahamian house at the Adderley
Town Historic Site. |

The Marathon
Wild Bird Center will be your next stop, where you have the opportunity
to view a bird feeding or even a surgical procedure in the bird
hospital. If you are here in the late winter or spring the osprey
nest will most likely contain hatchlings, always a stirring sight.

A
spectacular view of Florida Bay is your reward at the far end of
the trail. You can relax on one of our benches while enjoying the
scenery and solitude before taking another interesting trail back
to the museums. |
