My, oh, my. Look how far we’ve come. In just over a year Charlotte has managed to transform this hunk of metal into a replica of what one of Marathon’s first train stations looked like.
The train car was moved from Knight’s Key in mid-2018 to the exact spot where Marathon’s first train station was located. Since then, Charlotte has worked tirelessly to make it even more aesthetically pleasing to the public and visitors alike at Crane Point. The platform has been added along with a replica of the station’s building. Lavish and native landscaping along with some antiques from that era such as a replica of a train pull-cart is also a welcomed addition.
